Bob Winovich (41) of Chagrin Falls was known and will be remembered as the dedicated father, committed brother and loyal friend. His bald head, blue eyes and great big smile were a daily sight in Chagrin Falls for most of his young life.
Bob’s first love was family and second love was listening to live music. Bob could be found anywhere live music was playing. He loved the House of Blues and The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.
Bob is survived by his former wife, Anne Early Winovich, and their two children Hope 12 and Ben 10; father and mother Don and Helen Winovich;brothers Barry and Brian Winovich; sister Danica Chapic: all of Chagrin Falls, OH. Bob was President of Western Reserve Lightning Rod and ran the successful family owned business for over 20 years. Bob died peacefully in his sleep on Sunday Morning, July 18th.
Bob dedicated his last 5 years to finding a cure for ALS when he co-founded “The Bright Side of the Road Foundation”. Following his brother Barry’s diagnosis with the disease, Bob was determined to make a real impact in the search for a cure. With his continual aid and support, the Bright Side of the Road Foundation has been able to donate over one million dollars to ALS research initiatives.
Bob was buried next to his daughter Hannah at Evergreen Cemetery on Friday 7/23 after a 12:30 service at Holy Angels Church in Bainbridge , OH.
